The Moscerine Film Festival is a film festival for children 0-12 years held at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila in Rome on 27, 28 and 29 May 2022, up for the second edition of 2023.
The MFF is not just made for children as audience but is also conceived and set up in by them: many of the short films in competition featured children as protagonists,as well the educational workshop on images. Children also created the backstage of the festival and two young hosts presented most of the evenings and awarded the winners.
Many personalities have decided to participate in the Moscerine Film Festival 2022.
The Artistic Director of this first edition was Steve Della Casa and the jury, led by the producer Maria Fareswas made by the director Nina Baratta,the deputy director of Rai Ragazzi Mussi Bollini, the director and screenwriter Wilma Labate,
Labatethe actor Simone Liberati, the director Gabriele Mainetti, the editor Gianluca Scarpa and the author and presenter Armando Traverso. Godmother and co-host, the actress Margot Sikabonyi.
Moscerine Film Festival had several institutional partners: Regione Lazio, Municipio V di Roma Capitale, Rai Ragazzi e Istituzione Biblioteche di Roma e Ict Rossellini. But also important media partners: Comingsoon, Roma03, Uppa,
Zainet e Radio Sonica.
Among the cultural partners: Alice nella Città, Internazionale Kids, Isola del cinema, Festival del Cinema e della Legalità di Fiumicino, Quote Merito, Festival del Cinema Italiano e Associazione Progetto Diritti onlus, Spin-off, Mabasta and finally a bridge with Mexico with Cinehidalgo e Nubo cinema. Partners of the initiative: Cleverage, Smile Vision, Tadàn Produzioni and SiamoInDiretta. The main partner of the MFF2022 is GUESS which awarded with its special mention to the environment one of the shorts participating in the competition.
